It’s the season for supermarket “25% off if you buy six bottles” deals.
Sainsbury’s are running theirs until Sunday 3rd November.
M&S have one on until Sunday 17th November (a good moment to pick up some of the Italian reds I keep banging on about. I will be recommending the very useful 2012 Toscana Rosso (usually £5.99) on Radio 4’s You & Yours later today and last night drank the 2011 Brocard Organic Chablis (usually £14.99, scrumptious lemon zing and pillowy richness) though I see they have the 2010 online.
A.N. Other supermarket have one about to start but insist I’m not allowed to break their embargo. You can probably work it out.
And Tesco have a different offer going on – an extra 15% off when you buy any two cases (or more) on their Wine by the Case website, which makes the already-promoted Finest* Picpoul de Pinet 2012 (white, saline, refreshing) a bit of a bargain as it double-dips down from £7.99 to £5.09 a bottle if you’re buying in bulk.
