“There’s a chilled glass of Bollinger waiting for you,” is a sentence I like very much. “There’s a bottle of Bollinger in the fridge,” is one I like even better. Particularly if it is followed by the words, “Let’s open it.”
Bollinger NV Special Cuvée is one of my favourite big name non-vintage champagnes. It’s just so assured and classy, and it’s based on pinot noir which I also like. Tesco is currently selling it online here for the frankly extraordinary price of £22.79 – even with Christmas deals it rarely comes down below £28 and is usually more like £35 – when you buy a six-bottle case. It’s such a good price that they will only let you buy two cases of it (ie 12 bottles, just to be clear). Don’t say I don’t put you onto good deals sometimes. Offer closes Tuesday, and if you have a look on my Wine List page you’ll find a couple of other wines to buy from Tesco during their week-long 25% off extravaganza.
